“ACOLPECES” has been working jointly with the native population for longer than 30 years in a craft industry to capture and properly handle the natural resource, in order  to guarantee the conservation and maintenance of ecosystems, generating an important alternative to lawful employment in these  remote areas of our country.

Colombia is located on the northwest corner of South America, in the Torrid Zone, the widest and hottest zone  on the planet and is privileged by having 2.680.000 acres of lakes, lagoons, and swamps and 720.000 river beds; it enjoys different climates and possessing one of the richest biological diversities on earth, it occupies first place in the variety of species per area and second in the total number of species.

Natives mingle with Colonists in forest areas where we fin 12% of Colombian population. Colonists settled down there for longer than 80 years.
